After getting laid off from a start-up almost a month ago, I said screw it. I have been at startups before and even though the base might be high, I decided not to ever pursue one again. Ever since I started my career, I wanted to work for the big names in SaaS but it never really transpired. The startups moved faster or were the ones actually willing to hire me.
I said screw it, did a mass outreach into a handful of dream companies I want to work for, had around 6 manager screens (3 for the same company lol!), and 2 are actively turning into interviews (one of them being a company I had 3 interviews for). One has told me things to work on like certifications they would like to see. The other that didn't turn into an interview said they want more experience but I am not giving up on it.
Cannot count any chickens before they hatch but I do have something to be happy of. Continuing to prospect into my dream companies and my goal of selling for a big company so I can finally be out of the miserable startup world.
