They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
hugging work colleagues is a big "it depends". There are some I'd embrace instantly because of what we've been through together and they are "hug" people (I'm indifferent on hugs). There are others, that despite what we may have gone through together, I'd never hug (and maybe avoid shaking their hands if possible) in a million years. I'm very wary of "walking lawsuits". And if its in question.... don't.

there's people I'd hug, but most I don't

One time I met the governor of a major state (you'd know his name, he's in the news a lot).
Went to give him a goodbye handshake and he gave me a full on dap.

Nah, I stay out of people's space and they stay out of mine. Hugging friends and family of course, dont need to hug carol after a good cold call

I did the “shake hands” with the junior staff after picking up a bar tab as I had to get home to the family. I deserve how they mocked me

I work remotely, and my pets are happy to get regular hugs and scritches.

SAME. And the baby.

Much less risky.

I high five when they want a fist bump, and vice-versa.

Yeah, maybe so, but one erroneously distributed room key at a company event… I hear… will get you clocked. Be careful.

Luckily, I’ve never been and never will be a hugger.

I handshake and go for the "bro handshake turn hug", but only with people I call/text outside of work with.
At work, either fist bump or handshake.

No Hugging...No Way - in todays (NY) corporate environment that is a No No and someone may report you to HR - do a hand shake, fist bump, or even an Air Bump.

if they initiate then sure, but I won't go around initiating, too much at risk and too much crazy shit I've seen. Sorry but I'm not sorry.
