I did it.

Laid off 5/31/23 from a tech company that never figured out how to leverage me or my other teammate.

I vowed to get out of tech and join a company that people consumed for the pleasure of joy of the experience they provided.

Hired 7/1/23 by a non-tech company that people absolutely love. Moved onto the Executive level. Big ole raise. Real equity with real money value. Carte Blanche to build GTM the way I want to.

Want to take a job in the industry, location, etc, that would make you happy? Do it. The money is out there, and in my case, it was far better than what tech could provide.
