I have had to block several Gong employees on LinkedIn. Not because we are connected but because my connections like their posts. It is sickening. One SDR in particular was ridiculous.

Gong might be in you LI feed, but my Manager also forwards us their blog posts that we get in the gong emails, that get posted on the LI, that later get sent in our slack.

In a dark, dark world of trending behind pipeline goals... this platform is my happy place. I will admit I was "influenced" into a Gong demo... but he leveraged dogs AND beer in his messaging.
After we shut Gong and their "influencer" reps down, shut down LinkedIn rep's accounts so they can't sit there and sing and stroke each other's egos with every post. They'd have to sell and might shit their pants doing so.

They have an incredible marketing team, IMO. With how much they all try to be LI influencers, I'd be worried that every CMO comes in and tries to copy that. That would mean I'd have a LI post KPI. I'm already a number. I don't want to have to worry about LI engagement and make a personal account an extension of the company I'm working for.

Seriously though, why the hate for Gong - at least they aren't boring corporate buzzword bullshit like 90% of the B2B brands in the space? I have been using Gong for almost 3 years now. We had it when they were still in beta........ this question is everything.
Any company where the CEO is the only employee and posts about how "you can be successful too if you just image it."
I don't know about the account or what they post, but most reps I've met there are hard pushed to just be stalkers. Pushy beyond need, I'm close to having their domain banned so we don't get more emails from them.
