I'm not sure the in-person ones do either. The ones Ive been to, its all sales reps who are ALSO trying to meet some execs.

See if any of your clients or prospects put on their own conferences or networking events. Meet those people then ask if they're part of any groups. Also, check the events page of the major venues around you where business-geared events happen - see what's coming up and attend any that may be pertinent. There's a bunch of groups out there you can join - for women there's WISE (among others) - you may come across some on LI too.

I found a networking group specific to my industry because of a customer. And I'd rather be in that group than one for other sales professionals to get together. In this one, it's practitioners using the technology that I sell. So check with your customers to find out where they connect.

Maybe Iโ€™m not let in them, but havenโ€™t been to a good one. I recommend just networking with coffee dates with your leadership and keep in contact if you leave or they leave
