New to sales

Hi guys, like the title says I am new to sales and have only been selling for about 6 months. I am really enjoying the thrill of it so far but I do not like the company I work for currently for various reasons. I want to break into to Saas as soon as possible. What are my options here? Should I wait it out at this current company or start applying for SDR roles?

There's an excellent article in the academy tab about breaking into tech sales.

Search the forums here. There are a lot of posts, with advice, about getting into software/tech sales. It does not ever hurt to start looking for and applying for other positions when you are not happy.

Keep your current job while applying for new ones. Also, check out RepVue.

If you don’t like something why do you want to wait unless it would do magic. This topic has been discussed a lot in a few days, use search bar in bravado and you’ll have a lot of answers.

I'd say that if the environment is not good, move on. Start applying

Does your current company offer great training? Sometimes you need to grind it out in the minors for a few years, and it can pay dividends. If they don’t offer great ways to develop your sales skill set then it may be worth looking for the exit.

My first job was crap but the training was MBA level, and it enabled me to move from the cornfields of the Midwest to NYC. In the end the benefit outweighed the crap.

Hey thanks for the reply. The training is great and I am learning tons and very fast. I may just stay for at least a year and then try my luck at a better company later on.
