Sup Sales Savages and Slackers,
Been working on a new venture with a longtime business partner for the better part of two years. Its not Tech and its not AI, but it will get me permanently out of a desk from 9-5 within the next 6 months and on to the next chapter. (Dolphin Screeches!!!)
We have secured four contracts in the prior 6 months and in the last 2 weeks we closed two additional contracts that outweigh the previous four, with three more strong referrals to boot. So momentum is building....
Small Ticket: $50-150k deals (right now, potential for some large $300k+ Enterprise deals)
Sales Cycle: 3-6 weeks from Demo to close
Market: Mostly untapped (yes, really lol)
I am not ready to fully disclose this venture to the group yet, but wanted to let you know that all my years of grinding the big deals and rolling the pennies from the small ones have led me to this point. The point where the edge of the cliff is in sight and it's time to test those wings again.
I haven't loved every minute of working in sales to help build someone else's dream, but it has all been WELL worth it to learn the game and understand how to build a book of business from the ground up.
Now, I'm off to go return some video tapes.
Bateman OUT.
