Opt out language or link?

by opt-out language I mean something like "p.s. if you don't want me to reach out again, please let me know."

the language seems more human. the link makes you less likely to get marked as spam (plus protects against inflated reply rates).

The link is often legally required. Just put the link in there--it'll reduce the number of spam flags and protect your email server.

Honestly---> like really honest? My open rates are usually 20-ish. But I have had precisely 1 email reply other than "remove me" that lead to an actual conversation in 6 weeks. I was curious as to how many of the opens were just a search for an opt-out link. So, I added one. The answer? All of them. 100% of my opens opted out over the past 8 biz days.

So, I can't imagine flying without email and I'm not going to start using "I'm your wife's attorney" in the subject line. But email results of late just plain suck.
