Calendly link? Use it or nah?

Do you guys use calendly links in cold emails to customers? It is a pain to write out your availabilities every email, but having a calendly link makes an email feel less tailored(maybe not?).

Also, most of my meetings are with more than one customer at a time, which ends up complicating things. Does anyone know how to get around this?

I don’t use calendly in my cold outreach but after an initial conversation I’ll send out my calendly link if they are interested in talking.

There should be a setting that doesn’t let more than one person sign up for a time... that sounds like hell having multiple prospects on one call.

No, I prefer to recommend times on my calendar based on both personal/work commitments.

My wife attests to it for recruitment, but I haven't had much luck with it in sales

Ive never used and im not keen on receiving calendly randomly before i have agreed to a meeting.  I.e. im assuming you want to talk to me without giving you a real reason.  If someone has said they want to meet you then then yes i would agree with that application.

I used to but then stopped because nobody was using it and it feel too salesy. I always give prospects/clients three dates/times to choose from and have them offer a time if no of those work.

Was thinking about adding a calendly to mine, but after reading the comments I don't know anymore

No I do not do this. I use Outlook and send meeting/appointment invites that way.

I always add a calendly link to my emails. I wouldn't say it is a game changer but I do get someone to book a meeting once in a while with it. Why not add it just in case someone wants to book that way.

I used to just put it at the end of my signature, but no one used it.

I feel giving set times gives the customer the feeling you care more to check what works for them, even though it takes a few back and forth emails and wastes everyone's time.

I actually agree it makes it feel a little less tailored. But it also makes you look a little more professional if your calendar is booked up and your availability is limited. Makes u look more badass also lol

I just put this in my signature below my company info and above the logo

Click this link to schedule a meeting

So it's always there and I can reference it if I want, but it doesn't feel salesy or pushy. Just putting it out there if they want to use it.

How often do you get a random meeting from having that link in your sig?

It comes across too sales-y. How hard is it to offer a few times?

but how to automate few times and avoid overlapping? We use this calendly feature once the lead is warm. Otherwise - a general calendly link.

I like using Chili Piper with the multiple meeting times that they can pick from - I only send this though if they are interested to meet.

I'll send a link once they show interest. I have sent a few links in cold outreach over last few months and have gotten 3 meetings from them. Not a ton, but it did work a little.

During a cold/follow up call, I will mention that I will include in the email if the conversation goes that direction and seems appropriate. Otherwise it feels forced to include it there, and I wonder if it's a turn off for prospects. I know I don't like seeing it in emails when I haven't spoken to the person. Calls are far more effective for scheduling.

Yeah its great - you can create a link at the bottom of your email etc and simply ask them to click it. It then takes them to a calendar with rules that you set.

Once a lead is warm and it makes sense to actually ask for a meeting (vs. if this is relevant grab a time here) I'll throw a cal link in. Super helpful for going across time zones/chatting w/multiple stakeholders at an org.

A calendar link in the signature feels like a good way to get around the cold email w/a cal link.

I don't use it. Mostly because I have found the more hyperlinks in a cold e-mail, the more likely I am to get sent to the spam/junk folder than actually making it to the inbox of the prospect.

I have one, and it is linked on our website even, but it rarely sees any use.

I do! I saw a poll on LinkedIn once where the majority of people actually didn't like it. But it booked me so many meetings that I don't care.

Also, if I would get a cold email, I would prefer it if it had one. I don't want to have to go into this back and forth to find a time.

Primarily work with senior execs at large orgs. I feel like sending a link to view MY calendar is inexcusable....even if it is efficient.

It's in my signature but I never use it as the primary way to book meetings. A few times in my career, an email gets forwarded to the right person and they've booked straight off the link
