Posting your company content on LinkedIn

I was forced to make a post about my company on LinkedIn because we got our G2 badges.

I don't know why but I was annoyed by it. Don't know if it's because I don't like posting on LinkedIn or because I was forced to make a post...

Like am I crazy to feel like this? haha What do y'all think about posting/being forced to post your company content on LinkedIn?

Meh, I don't like to be forced to do it, but if they just give me the shit to post and it's up to me to put it together, I will from time to time. No pressure on it.

Right thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m used to like maybe Iโ€™ll post, maybe I wonโ€™t. But this is the first time I was forced to post

How can they "force" you to post on your PERSONAL page?

Well seems like if I didn't, it would have been a bad look for me. They told me three times to post it/if I posted it... Saw that my manager looked at my LI profile, so I guess they really cared that I make a post

They can write it down take a picture IDGAF that's your PERSONAL property.

I'd delete it. Don't say a word about it. If they come back to you then you know you're being creeped on. Tell them to stop harassing you.

For me, its all about picking my battles. If they are forcing me to post, I will do it. Do I think its going to help make any sales, not at all. However, it takes a couple minutes so its not worth the headache

Yeah exact, I tried to ignore it the first time they asked me. But then they asked me twice after so I was like, alright I'll just post, this is not worth the fight haha

i post on linked in on a semi regular basis and really enjoy it.

but if you TELL me what to post....i HATE that shit.

when its happened normally marketing sends us a few sentences to post. and it normally sucks. so ill add something extra, keep the overall message the same but making it sound like me haha.

marketing doesnt like that.

If it's my own post, that's fine. If they TOLD me to go post, that's not fine.
If I'm just hitting repost I don't care.

It's super annoying when it's compulsory. I do it occasionally, usually to boost visibility after a conference or something.

Right, if it was a conference or something relevant, I would have done it with no problem, but who cares about G2 badges??

Initially I used to post it since I did not know how linked in worked , I later figured out that it was fine however not making it as โ€œformalโ€ and more easy to read

If I'm asked for sales shit, sure. Otherwise, never. Either that or I get laid off, I can make a dramatic post about it and get more job offers.

Companies always try and force reps to post. I always tell my companies the same thing - LinkedIn is my personal social media page. I will decide what I do and donโ€™t share on it. If they say something like but we pay for your sales nav license I say no worries just take the license and give it to someone else. I also refuse to integrate into any company owned software or tech of any kind.

I worked at a martech company that wanted us to post the same 15 case studies they had on Linkedin. Weekly.

You'll all be shocked to hear that the only people who engaged with these posts were my coworkers and leadership.
