Presidents Club alternative

Made presidents club for 2022, but I have a wedding the same time that I can't miss. I'm hearing that the alternative to attending is ... nothing.

How normal is this? I've heard of cash payouts instead (not equivalent but it's something).

Pretty normal. If cash payouts were offered everyone would take them.

A past company of mine would do basically 1/5 the value of the trip in a cash payout so almost nobody took the cash.

Bummer! Seems like you wont get anything, just run with the feel good factor and use it as a one up in your bag if you need to do salary negotiation or anything else later in the year

Congratulations on the wedding. Some companies offer cash payouts, but it’s not equivalent. Others, yup, nothing. Sorry about the unfortunate timing.

Never hurts to ask, but doubt you will get cash payout since then you would hear of people having a "wedding" that week all the time.

Yeah, I mean the answer of your beat sucks, considering it from the companies perspective, it's not their fault you have a wedding booked at the same time, a cash offer would be nice however if you made pres club you cant be too mad about the money you have made from it.

Previous companies I worked for would pay out a percentage of the trip to still "acknowledge" the job you did.

Try and ask without an expectation.

Usually its all or nothing. I would ask 1 more time though if they'll just give you the $$.

damn that stinks... My company cancelled pclub last year and gave everyone cash that was maybe 1/4 the value of the trip. Wondering if they will make the same limp offer this year

You get to keep the award paper and usually nothing else

If your friend was truly a best friend, they would move the wedding so that you could go to PC (pure sarcasm here)....
Congrats on making it and a feather in the cap for yourself.

I think you’re onto something. Time to end this relationship for the greater good!

Here you go or you don’t. No way to skirt it and take money. That defeats the purpose of bringing the top reps together. Enjoy the wedding and move on. You’ve done well.
