Promotion to AE

There's talks of promoting any BDR on the team to individual contributor/AE. We are a team of 4 BDRs, each of us assigned to a specific AE. I am the outlier that is assigned to the two top performing AE's in the company and I work the cold outreach into their target account lists. Now for my question. Since I am assigned to the two top performers, what questions should I ask them about what I should be doing, what it takes or what could increase my chances of being promoted. I have some general idea what I might ask but I wanted to post and see what insight you guys could provide. appreciate the help!!

Don’t ask your AEs. Ask the people that feed you, only they can put more on your plate.

If your relationship with your boss is good, why not ask them if they’d support your career progression. You’ve got 2 AE’s. Replacing you might take 2 people. That’s your first hurdle.

Good idea, bringing it up on our next one on one and Good point on that hurdle didn’t think of that.

Gathering you’re about a year in… right about when it becomes time. If I’m in your seat, I tell my boss that I’m grateful for the role I’ve got. I take nothing for granted. But I believe my performance makes me first in line for consideration. I’m going to put up a fight for it, and I’d appreciate your support.
