Another one of my reps was working this deal and thought it was as good as dead. Decision maker joked on our first call that he's ghosted people before, and then he did just that with us.
I went in for the assist and showed up at their office (baked goods in hand) and was able to revive the deal. The DM said that he's actually just been trying to work stuff out with finance, so I offered to get on a call with him and his business manager to get things worked out. Ended up getting creative with billing to make things work.
Then things got interesting, we received the purchase order from his business manager last week (which was all he was waiting for before signing the contract) and the dude splits for winter break a day early. Spent the last two days trying to get in touch with the business manager to see if they could just sign it in his stead, and ended up getting that to work.
Chalking up another before year end.
