Resources for closing deals over email?

Have always closed over calls, but am exploring closing <$5k deals over email.

A few have gone well but I want to improve and not seeing many resources for how to close deals over email without getting on the call.

Would appreciate any resources you've seen!

Your credit card numbers please? Oh, you don't have one handy? I'll wait. Would you like that charged in 1 payment or two? May sound tongue and cheek, but if you're extending credit terms under $5k, you're gonna have issues.

Give us a bit more context and we'll dial you in.

Right now, it's mostly sponsorships for media companies. Share an ad kit, answer questions.

Hoping to expand into some other fields with it, but no idea what other folks are doing here as it's all self taught

Not sure anyone uses email to close a deal. If thatโ€™s the question. Adobe sign for agreements is $30/mo max.

Sending all the details out to the customer on what you need for the finance/order team. Advice the customer on what is the next step. Then finalize the quote/Docusign whatever it looks like and send it out.
It is all about making the steps as clear as possible for the customer. So once they commit, they commit

Some people just like to hop on calls to make sure they got everything right and it brings them peace of mind. If it is one call, I would take it and try and not spend over 15 minutes on it.

Depends on what you sell of course and how you close the deals in general

Yeah, I wouldn't eliminate or prohibit the possibility of a call to make sure things are progressing, because that sounds like an arbitrary rule.

Root cause - what questions are you answering on a call that cannot be communicated through email?

Reasons why it's kinda hard to find any is that emails are mainly created either for marketing, product pitching and if they're ever being used to express consent or to close a deal it's gonna just as a follow up on a verbal or a written approval that was already given either face to face through a meeting or OTP.
As I believe it's hard to agree and commit to a deal from someone you don't know very well unless there was a human interaction prior to it that only came from FTF&OTP and not just via email!

I would assume they would want a more human interaction or they would just buy straight through the company website

I do this all the time as my clients are marketers who donโ€™t like to interact lol. Depending on rapport memes and gifs work well in negotiation. But if youโ€™re relationship is new keep the emails short, 4-5 sentences and curate the information you give them.
