Rewiring my SDR...please help!

Hey Team,


First off, pleasure to be here & looking forward to learning from the community.


My SDR, is in a slump like no other & I need to get him out of this funk! This guy couldn't sell water in the desert right now. He's done well in the past, but he needs rewired.


Any suggestions/tips???

Haha this was like a year ago & he got fired 2 weeks later. However, getting fired usually works out in peoples favor. He’s now the SDR Manager at another company.

What have you been trying to far to help him get out of the slump?

We have weekly meetings to see his progress, & see where he can improve. New cadences, different call scripts, or even timing of phone calls. I think he just needs to get his confidence back.

Have you tried anything to help him get his confidence back? I remember my manager would do NLP type stuff on me when I was in a slump.

Remove the pressure and stress. If they're that good at what they do, then the amount of pressure they are putting on themselves is hindering performance. They know who they are and what they need to do...the best thing you can do is reinforce that you're confident in them and their abilities and that they need to just be themself...on purpose.

Shorten your timelines. Take things day by day, it can be daunting for a rep who's in a slump to see how they're falling behind (been there, done that). Make smaller daily goals that they can achieve that'll get them back in the swing of things.
