Sales Manager Commission

Accounting made a mistake and sent me my manager's commission payout.

Is it standard practice for a manager to have a higher commission % than the actual sales rep for all deals?

No not normal. Unless you are the only rep on the team, or maybe 1 of 2.
Is the boss’ nose brown? Or does your boss possibly wear knee pads often? Sometimes it’s about who you know and what you do for them.

Wild. It should be a fraction of your percent. Probably still a bigger check, but a smaller percentage for sure

Really depends on OTE and comp plan breakdown.

You also have to consider that they are getting commission for an entire team's performance, not just one rep's. So per-dollar of sales, it's very likely you get paid more commission.

In this case, I saw the commission breakdown for my deals. I saw what I was getting and what my manager was getting for the same deal.

Not normal since they're usually collecting off an entire teams deals.
