No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
If their attention or energy is suffering as a result of the second job, then it's fair to call them out on it.

If they're still smashing it at their main gig, then who cares. They're choosing to lose out on socialising etc in order to maximise money. Their time to do with as they please.

Sales isn’t a job. It’s a career

I love it - if you can make it work, more power to you. We’ve all known long enough that companies don’t give AF about workers so why do they demand our loyalty?

I've always had a side hustle that was fueled by a passion. Up until a few years ago I was working a FT role and working in a ski shop on the weekends. Kept me engaged in a hobby and I was selling on the floor when I was in the shop.

I work about 10 hours a week on freelance stuff in addition to my regular SDR job.

I've been reading more and more about this and just don't understand how people can juggle more than 1 sales job. Unless your sales job is minimal effort and your calendar is wide open, I could see people getting caught often. Overlapping meetings and random pop up Zoom calls would get me caught immediately. I would love to do this but just wouldn't know how.

I would say it depends entirely on what the second job is. I coach high school sports as a second job, and it does not affect my primary sales job at all. I have an understanding with both the school and my employer that this is another passion of mine, but my sales career always comes first.

Now, if I had to step away from my primary sales job at odd hours during the day to go show houses as a real estate agent, or pound the phones and knock on doors for my side hustle, that would be a different story...

At the end of the day, we have to make that bread!  However, I tried that recently and my main employer started micromanaging TF out of me and I simply didn't have the time to put in the second job....

As a result, I left the main job and made the second my full time.
