Has anyone worked two sales jobs at once?

working from home is really the only way that’s possible so knowing how much work actually needs to be done would make it easy to just go hard at one job For an hour and half and the same at the other and then just email the rest of the time. Obviously work meetings would conflict so that might be problematic. But if you aren’t working for a competitor and they don’t have a policy about second jobs, why not?

couldn't imagine even trying that, at least not being an AE at both

Exactly. One sales job could already be draining

Everyone has a side hustle or two.  But to try to W2 for two different companies is possibly the worst idea ever.

Nope. You'll get fired from both.

Wasn’t “technically” a second job, but I helped my wife build an MLM business for a few years. Made it pretty far before we started backing off. At peak, around $4500/month.

Again, not a W2ed role for me, but also am currently partnering with my wife in an Australian Labradoodle dog breeding business. Puppies kinda sell themselves, especially when the world is in lockdown, but I’ve been surprised at how many things are transferable from tech sales. 😂

Gotta diversify that income, y’all! 🤑🤑

I saw someone try to do it. good caught and fired fairly soon.
maybe you need two names, not to mix up your LinkedIn profiles

I'm currently doing it. One week in. Both companies know and are fine with it as long as it doesn't interfere with the quality of my work.

Yo I’d love to hear more about your story. You got two w2’s? How did you manage to convince them? My former boss wants to recruit me to his new gig when he gets it

I laid out to both of them how exactly I'd have time for them both. Like I said, one is in the B2C space, so I'm able to work that one in the evenings and on the weekends. So I told them when I'd be putting in my 40 hours each week.

Do I really put in 40 hours for both? No. It's closer to 30 for each.

future employers do want to see a track record. (surprisingly some don't investigate it much)

f someone changes jobs every 12 month I assume they are not performing. Once it's fine, there can be legit reasons. but try and do 18-24 month.

Doable depending on the nature of the work. However, if you’re trying to be a account director with full quota at shops like databricks & zscaler (just examples).. thats a terrible idea.
