Sorry but I can´t- Update!

Hello!

As promised I bring news!

Today was a horrible day because of the wait and the anxiety of receiving information.

The news in my opinion is a bit bittersweet, since my boss, in a demonstration of his great ability to be useless, told me that I hand over the decision to Rob (a person who works in the accounting area).

Today when I was leaving the office I just ran into him and Rob tells me that he doesn't see how he can make that decision and if he could help him (irony...). After telling him about my odyssey, we went to talk to my boss and he concluded that all sales representatives would be put on a "trial period" to evaluate their work and make a decision solely based on the period. 3-month test... Something that I fight, since the 2 deadest months of the year are coming (January and February). But my boss just said "is it like this or random" since they were all "the same". But, I didn't let myself be beaten either, for which I told him that I accepted those terms of the 3 months, but that if after that period a conclusive result could not be issued, everyone would stay, to which to my surprise he told me " okay".

For what I don't know if it was a victory or a defeat... I prefer to see it as a victory if you ask me... now I just hope that nobody screws up.

What do you think of the WR? victory?

Glad you're trying everything.

Is this a "super secret" test for the Sales team or will they know about it?

Yes is super secret, and it is logical, think about this, if you know that now you have to compete with your colleagues, many could choose not to help each other for fear of losing their job and that would ultimately harm the company

Great you are trying to work this out. You might have to tell this to your reps and if you do, they might start looking for a new role.

Is not simple, is better just to keep it silence and let the team work like always

hehe,Just out of curiosity, if they told you, what would you do? And what would you do if the end of the test time arrives and things don't go well for you?

It would help me prepare my finances so if we’re let go, I didn’t just buy a house. I wouldnt plan a vacation.

And yes, I wasn’t doing the best and thought I were to get laid off. I would start interviewing.

I don’t get the point to know for 3 months someone will be laid off to not warn the reps to some degree.

Majority of people live paycheck to paycheck. Being let go with little notice can harm them big time.

Yeah, is not a good idea, because if you know that now you have to compete with your colleagues, many could choose not to help each other for fear of losing their job and that would ultimately harm the company or just leave the company

If the reps don’t know and are heading into the two slowest months yet everyone is a consistent performer, I’d be worried about the trial period. NGL I fuck off when there’s little point to working deals and when it’s time to rake in the signatures I kick it into high gear. ESPECIALLY when I’ve been a consistent performer and know that the cadence works for me. I don’t know if you should/shouldn’t tell them… but if it were me I’d want to know.

I understand that one would like to know, but it is not a good idea, to promote that can initiate sabotage among team members, not help, generate enemies or make some leave their job
