Transitioning from the first SDR at a startup into an AE role in the coming months. What are some good questions to ask? There isn't a sales manager as of yet, so it will be a trial-by-fire situation. Anything would be helpful

Sure, its series B, and there are already a few senior salespeople working. I've been sourcing for them for a year, but recently was asked to make the move to a full AE

I would ask what was the quota attainment of those salespeople there to understand their expectations (leniency) if you fail. That also tells you how much realistic money you could make versus the BS comment of uncapped earnings.ย  Also try to understand where their leads come from and if you are supposed to self source them all.
