The line between stress and excitement. Is nervous energy good?

I'm fortunate enough to work at a place with a great product to market fit. My team has a huge pipeline. We're a bit expensive but the win rate is there.

So, I don't have "I'm gonna get fired because I have bullshit pipe stress." I have "holy shit I have a ton to do to help my team but don't know where to start." It's hard to stay laser focused when so many things are in the air.

I'm busy but I have this nervous energy that keeps me from staying laser focused. Could be a very good close out to the year but here I am stressed. Or is it good energy?

Nervous energy is great - but making sure you are using it to power a scalpel instead of a wrecking ball is the hard part.
Organize your calendar, your tasks, your desk, and your pipeline. Set reminders, have sticky notes, have checkboxes. Stay on top of people/prospects and take notes electronically so you can copy and past what you need over and over again and easily edit for internal and external updates and reports. Have agendas ready to go to funnel conversations where you want them.
Breathe, focus, and control the energy. Don't let it control you and don't be afraid to take a break, walk around and think. Do not assume urgency if deeper and complex thought is required.
Great problem to have and best of luck savage.

Exactly, it has to be channeled properly lest it become dangerous.

Your stressed because you have too much pipeline? Good luck when your in the opposite camp.
In all seriousness, you should be excited not nervous. Become less outcome dependent on your calls and close some $$$.

Believe me I've been in the opposite camp. Super demoralizing, especially when there's no product market fit for your product.

Nervous energy means you care. Focus on what you can control and execute. Everything else is noise.

This is simply Eustress vs distress
Eustress is like building a sandcastle with a few components youโ€™ve never attempted before but the general structure is in your wheelhouse.
Distress is watching the bully kick over your sandcastle while bullies friends hold you down and the tide washes away the rest.
Or an unrealistic plan with constantly changing territories, managers, and KPIs.
Youโ€™re in Eustress, embrace it and find more ways to up your baseline so you can hit stretch goals or whatever your heart or OTE desires

Depends where you direct it. Good energy if you direct it to work

I hate that nervous energy. I used to love it though. Now I try to be desensitized

I thrive in chaos. I thrive in anxiety - unfortunately for me and the folks around me, this is a fact. While I agree that I thrive in this environment, I know too much of this is never a good idea.
The way I navigate through is channelising this energy. I usually work out or write through to make myself feel okay when I think I might have a nervous breakdown.

You touched on something here for me quite personal. I straddle this line in my everyday life to due my ADHD. so I can't quite qualify it as 'positive', but I've learned to live with it and derive functionality.

Such a fine line, but I find that nervous energy gets my butt in gear when I need it. Are you sleeping okay? If so, you're good. If not, there might be deeper issues.
