The rise and fall of Colin Cadmus

So i just find this so interesting. If you dont know who this guy is, he was a sales rep, that went up the ranks and got into a senior level role.

he then pivoted and started a consulting business.....(because, what else are you suppose to do)

He had a ton of good advice, and tried to help lots of sales reps.

Then his messaging started to turn.

He started sharing alot more on Crypto, and his view on money and funding, and start up culture.

This quickly dove into "money isnt real" "this is all a conspiracy!"

he even clashed with our very own Sahil on linked in when SVB went down, and Sahil commented saying "you literally know nothing" 🤣

Since then he has been shadow banned on Linked in and his content is being suppressed big time.

Im not here to say if he is right or wrong, its just such a crazy trajectory that ppl take.

Find a really great niche, do super well, then decide to risk it ALL on being outspoken on a super controversial topic.

Collin sucks, he has a storied history of terrible advice and LI cringeworthy posts. A company I was with 4 yrs ago we would regularly laugh at what he would post and oh yeah he got FIRED from aircall after they raised over 100 million dollar round because he was not a good VP of sales and if he spent half the time coaching and getting better he'd probably still be there. GUY SUCKS. Rant over.

Dude, he sucks, he would talk about living in a 400 sq foot studio and used to start posts by saying why reps were shitty. He thinks he knows so much when really he doesn't know dick. Loves to say the SDR and VC model is broken and yell into the abyss hoping to get clicks, notice he never offers a solution, it's because again he sucks.

He SUCKS for sure. Simply the WORST! Think twice before getting involved with this guy in any capacity. I was working with Colin on a project, and actually felt worried for my safety. He would come to meetings wide eyed, talking a mile a minute, pressured, speaking over everyone. He kept telling me why he thought everything I was saying was wrong, with no data to back it up, no experience, just weird anecdotes. When I told my pm to remove me from the project, he lashed out and lost it. What ensued next was a barrage of nasty arguments (with himself), crazy insults, and threats to ruin our lives. He trolled us for months under different usernames, wrote blatant lies, tried to cancel us, etc. all obviously from him. This guy holds a grudge for a while. Truly pathetic.

Yeah I saw him and Sahill argue. I can’t say Sahill handled it the best but the guy is clearly a few beers short of a six pack too, so I don’t blame Sahill for arguing his point either.

I guess it’s the whole “stay in your lane” belief.

I don’t know know the guy, or even heard of him. I do see plenty of young reps who think they know a thing or two because they had 1-2 good years or got to ride a start up wave to some big money.

Usually when they leave their lane they find things are a lot different and don’t have as much success as they thought they would.

He is insane. I’d say he was a top 3 sales influencer on LI back in like 2018/2019, especially in NYC.<br><br>Everyone saw through his bs though. Worked with a few people who were on his team when he as an AE, said he was terrible. <br><br>Not sure how he landed the exec position at aircall but they obviously eventually saw through the bs. <br><br>Goes to show, you can’t trust anyone with a following on LI
