Traits that Make Great Salespeople
What is the one characteristic that you think makes a great Sales Person?
I am going to ramble off a lot of things. Some will be obvious, but hoping some will be different that a canned answer.
Great listener, hungry, always looking to grow as a salesperson and a person, high emotional intelligence, calm under pressure, ability to separate self worth from their quota attainment, helps others when they can, eager to actually learn about a prospect (not just qualify them), solid team member, never afraid to ask for help, works well cross functionally, has a playbook, a methodology that works and that they stick to
Hopefully some of those are different than what you would typically hear.
Love the “separate self worth from quota attainment aspect”

Coachability. Check out this part of Mark Roberge's presentation it's really cool how he breaks down the best characteristics for sales hires:
It should start right when he begins talking about sales hires but, if you have the time and the interest, I'd recommend watching it from the beginning!
