Honestly, the Bible.

1)Never seen a piece of fiction have such strong staying power all these years.
2) Has raised a ton of money for some shady characters.
3) Easy resource to justify all viewpoints
4) Can open doors and even break windows

I donโ€™t like comments which disparage closely held beliefs. Some of what you said may be true, but you should add:

1) has inspired people to be more than they thought they could be
2) has raised a ton of money for truly worthy causes
3) helps us understand where we come from, why weโ€™re here, and where we are going.

4) if people held to the basic tenants of the Bible the world would be a better place ( same for any religion).

Just because YOU donโ€™t believe, donโ€™t bring down others who do.

Donโ€™t like the comment? Scroll past. Give it a downvote. Do whatever you like. Iโ€™m not going to curb by opinion to make others feel good about their belief system.

Itโ€™s very pot calling the kettle black to ask me to respect your beliefs in spite of my own.

You also donโ€™t have to hijack a comment about Sales books to talk about your personal religious beliefs. Works both ways.

I donโ€™t see OP coming in upset at me for my comment made in jest. This is the internet. Youโ€™re going to see things you donโ€™t like. Hell, I see tons of comments thanking god for something and I keep my mouth shut and let that person have their day. Itโ€™s a choice, and youโ€™re making the needlessly difficult one.

Fair enough. I'm new so I wasn't aware. The "Ugh" wasn't very clear.

Understandable. This has to be one of the most posted about topics. Best practice is to use the search bar to see what's been talked about before. If you can bring new perspective and/or add value, feel free to post.

What helped me understand the sales process more clearly, was Straight Line Selling by JB (not justin bieber) doesn't mean it's the best book, but it helped me the most. (Its not like I have read loads of books either)

Gotta follow up with the challenger customer too especially you're a larger enterprise level solution.

Slow Down Sell Faster by Kevin Davis is the o e and only Sales Book you should adopt. Iโ€™ve read them all and leveraged the ideas of that book to become a PClub sales rep and Sales Director at FleetMatics first, then Intelligent Mechatronic
Systems and then project44. This book takes Medic and spin-selling and makes it practical. Medic is trash in my opinion because it doesnโ€™t talk about the โ€œbuyers processโ€ which ultimately is the only process that matters.

Interesting, how does medic not talk about the process? It's literally Dp or decision making process.

Ahhh see decision making process and your customers buying process are 2 separate things. Decision making is but one part of that process. Need, Learn, Buy, Value are the main phases but then there are typically 8 emotional stages that a customer goes through. Medic focuses on your sales process. However customers really donโ€™t care about your sales process they care about there buying process. Understanding what role you need to play at every emotional stage of your prospects buying journey is the critical piece that Slow Down Sell Faster solves for

Very interesting. The way I interpreted and applied MEDDICC is very much around the buyers process, not our sales process.

Who Moved My Cheese left an impression on me far greater then most sales books. It really gets your head in the right space when you are at a low point in selling.
