What is your version of a "perfect" cold prospecting email?

Being in the Enterprise segment, contacts are limited and at-bats are finite. How do you make sure each "touch" is of high value especially to accounts that you have very little traction in?

We have been trained on the "Why You Why You Now" email format - basically making sure you do a ton of research prior to reaching out to a specific contact and your message is concise and relevant. Curious to hear other versions of cold prospecting emails and how successful they have been for the Bravado community.

@sahil had a good post about it here:  https://bravado.co/war-room/posts/creating-need-with-cold-emails

But my general format is
For companies who have "A" problem, creating "B" negative business impact, we do "C" leading to "D" improvements.

And then I populate all of that with my research, opening hook, and applicable references.

But 100% agree with you - I sell to Enterprise as well, and research is key. If I do not have a solid potential pain point to reach out around, then I need to find a new contact or do more research until I have a clear business impact I can solve.

It depends on the persona, but I'm usually friendly, but straightforward. People with little time to talk also have little time to read and hear fluffy bullshit.
