What's it like working at Microsoft?

anyone in here worked in MSFT sales recently? I'm currently interviewing for an enterprise AE position selling their Modern Work suite (Teams, O365, SharePoint / Viva). Hoping to understand if there are actual humans or just robots working there

Well, you have to sell Microsoft products. That's soul-sucking enough for me to say no.

Don't they require a minimum age of 63 to work there?

I would just take a quick glance at their LinkedIn employees and look for Account Executives. Should be able to tell pretty quickly what kind of demographic the reps are.

Have you checked Glassdoor, Google, RepVue, etc?

Yes I have. Looking for more candid deets from fellow sales savages. Tough to sift through all the irrelevant takes from CSAMS and Best Buy MSFT reps

What vibe did you get from the sites?

So, you're telling me that typing "Senior Enterprise Account Executive" into the review bar under Microsoft on Glassdoor only yields Best Buy employees?

No, I'm saying I wanted opinions from other sales degenerates in a closed place like this. Not the type of people who go leave reviews on Glassdoor for fun. My b for using this forum for what it was made for! Dickhead

It was really mixed, but mostly long hours, great pay and benefits. Low job mobility. Not much about the people

I'm not being a dickhead. If you take the time to sort through each of those sites, you can get a sense of who's a mad former employee, who's lying, and who's honest. It is not hard, it just takes time.

Maybe next time you can advise us on your findings and ask if anyone working there can confirm your findings. Instead you came in here trying to fool of bunch of salespeople who *GASP* also have access to those websites and can verify that based on your weak answers above, you didn't spend more than 5 minutes looking at reviews. Best Buy employees, really?

It's ironic that you're saying you tried using this forum for its intended purpose but you couldn't be bothered to use the websites mentioned above for their intended purposes.

Lmao my "weak answers"... sorry professor! I literally thought "oh I know Corp bro has that war room thing, never checked it out, let me see if anyone in there works at Microsoft and can give some thoughts on the people there, as I'd believe those types more than the slew of randos on a site like Glassdoor." And yea... fuckin Best Buy MSFT reps leaving reviews... Maybe if you "took the time" to sift through the site you would have seen that too... I also went on RepVue and there are 0 comments from anyone about anything on the MSFT page. Just stats. Thank god I know the "culture and leadership" is a 4.2 out of 5! Sorry for trying to fool you man, really thought I had you with this one 😂

Hey buddy, I'm sorry you were offended by my answer. There's a lot of people that come on here and are lazy and could have found answers to their question with a simple search elsewhere.

The WR is a great place to learn from others and shoot the shit. Don't let this turn you off from it. I'm just the resident Gong rep so by default I'm defensive because everyone picks on me.
