Work benefits in EU?

Hello y'all,

Seen a few similar discussions on here but they seem to primarily focus on US work benefits which seem to primarily revolve around health benefits. I feel like that is not a such a big thing here in Europe (yay extortionate taxes!) although I know most companies here offer private health insurance as well.

What would be the biggest benefits or even "mandatory" benefits you would expect from your employer in addition to good salary? What are the benefits you receive now?

P.S. A nice coffee machine in the office is a given, so we can skip that one.

UK, but the benefits havent changed since the public fucked the pooch and decided to leave.

25 days holiday as a minimum. Not including the 8 bank holidays a year.
Pension matching above the government minimum.
Development budget.
WFH office stipend - X amount a year to spend on chairs desks etc
3 days a year to spend on upskilling
Stock

^all of these I have currently.

Things I've had at previous companies
Full health/dental
Cycletowork/techschemes
Volunteering days
£1000 pounds a year for a holiday
Mandatory one week off per quarter at a company with unlimited holiday.

25 days holiday + development/training and stock are the ones I wouldn't go without.

All of this makes sense. Stock + extra holiday (with or without the added budget) + training budget seem to become the norm now.

Continued Training, Investment Opportunites...one company I worked for gave us shares of stock, I love the thought of ownership in the company I represent!  And had this happen at one place that lives in a dark place in my mind now but they didn't have a closed door policy and anything you brought to the manager's attention was talked about in front of the entire staff.

Makes sense. Long term investment not just financially but professionally.

As @InQ5WeTrust said - all of that.

The one perk we have in the UK is the 3 warning rule.

After your probation period (which unless you are really really awful at your job) you won't get fired. You have to have legal, concrete reasons to be fired after three warnings.

Those warnings also have to be legally sound as well.

This, of course, can make things a little bit difficult in certain scenarios but when you are put in a scenario of say your managers a prick and hates you for no reason...he can't just fire you.
