How is it working in the sales team at Deel? It is in news for investigation and misclassification claims. But forbes did an amazing article of the CEO.

Recently the CEO posted they are hiring 1000+ roles this year.

The sales team especially are very big on linkedin content creation and course selling. Not sure if that is a strategy to hire talent. They are also pretty big on adopting new tools in the market. The company is >$400m ARR in less than 5yrs.

Overall seems like a good company but cannot judge a book by the cover. The recruiters keep sliding in the linkedin inbox once every 6months. Hence trying to understand what is the sales culture at Deel.

I've seen them gain a lot of traction on LI. I just find these numbers (posted by one of their sales managers on LI) comical. I bet they dramatically adjusted their 2024 quotas comparatively lol.

I’m still wondering what they exactly do some of them, one says “ help CEOs to hire worldwide talent “ Nothing bad to say yet, but they have a strong culture of flex in LinkedIn, instagram or TikTok, which is ofc approved by the company

I recently attended their “Hiring Happy Hour”. Seemed like they have a difference maker of a product that is about to evolve into its next phases but like many of you, incredibly skeptical at their quota attainment and their hiring goal for this year.

I made final round interviews here for a manager role. They seemed to be pretty good culturally (last year) and promoted a lot internally. But I am off-put by their Linkedin posts as well. Comp is low and OTE is low relative to industry, FYI (for all roles).

I observed that their manager gets paid less than their IC sales reps. They usually pay less compared to their industry peers and hire as contractors. That is a big put-off.

Look how their competition is doing, if they are on a hiring spree like them then it's a good sign. If it's just Deel then I'd worry because 1k hires this year means there could be an adjustment end of year. BUT you can go the other road and have 2 jobs. Always good to hedge your bets
