hello everyone im currently trying to break into a tech sales role, if I may ask , what steps did you take to manage to get your first role as a BDR OR SDR? Any advice would be greatly apricated

I worked retail in high school, and just applied to AE roles when finished my post-grad in business.

There are a lot of channels on linkedin, specifically for SDRs, that keep getting a lot of job postings.
Call center for me and part-time. And after that I had call experience, even more so than as BDR so they hired me straight as AE
Ugh working a call center is rough, respect man.
Thanks! Yeah it was a pain. I think our target was 21 call attempts per hour. Preferably more if you had no one picking up.
Funny enough, i fell into it after years in finance. What I hear is just taking any sales job and then lateraling into the role.
Treat is as any other sales goal.
Yoo I'm an intern at a SAAS company. Make sure ur resume is sharp. Then go on LinkedIn and friend SDR or BDRโs ask for a 5-10 minute phone call. Get the referral. Apply for the job and hope they get back. I would tell u what website u should use to find sales roles but I am a gatekeeper
