AM & Partnership Manager take home assignments

I’m currently interviewing for Account Manager & Partnership Manager roles.

The interviewing game has got SO INTENSE with 4-7 rounds including take-home assignments and demos just for small startups! It seems that they give you a take-home assignment, then you present it to their leadership in the next-to-final interview explaining your why and thought process.

I’m a little intimated and rusty. I don’t even know what to expect.

What were your take-home assignments for Account Manager or Partnership Manager roles? What was the prompt? Did you make a presentation from scratch?

I would walk away. I've always found take homes, and role plays of their product to be silly. I'll pitch you what I'm selling now.

That’s too intense, I am not a big fan of doing the assignment. Did once and nothing was discussed assignment related during the meeting though the focus of the meeting was to discuss the case. Waste of time.

Curious, what industry was it for and what was the assignment prompt? I know it can range a lot.

I work in foodtech. The assignment was a presentation on my background + relevant skills and a case study on partnership principles and how to put them into practice

4-7 rounds of interviews with take home assignments makes me nervous.

Look at it like this, what did they learn on interview 4 that they couldn't learn on interview 1 or 2?

Don't cut and run, but definitely make sure it is the kind of company you want to tie yourself to.

Just finished a screening interview where the same scenario was presented. I might have asked if I could combine the 4 rounds of interviews and take home assignment into 2 panel interviews since it will be with the same 4 leaders again. 🤷‍♀️ efficient time managment skill box checked.
