So many things are wrong with this.
For starters, he should have been well aware that the discount wasn't to be held up for ALL of the renewal contracts that he was going to engage in.
They still received Hubspot at a 74%(!!) percent discount for three years. Whether you think that's overpriced or not, still insane.
CRM renewal should be pretty high on a companies priority list. It’s critical to running their ships engine, yet they let it come at last minute without doing any looking around.
Lastly, Agorapulse raised their own prices 2.5X! Being naive and a hypocrite is a shitty combo.
It probably was bad communication on HubSpot’s side, but he’s still definitely in the wrong here, imo.
