a little tip for you.

Dont just say " i want to network"

ask a specific question you want feedback on.
bring up a specific situation you want others others to think about.

the broader the statement the less value you will get

Good point - and now that there are a couple who have identified themselves as familiar, you could also tag them in a post like that to get feedback.

Thanks @DevSomeBiz q: realistically how many new clients can a sales person win in first year at a new Co. Average deal size is high six figs, like 800k. Average sales cycle is 6 months. Sales person wonโ€™t inherit any pipeline and has build from zero. No inside sales or external lead gen to support. In this scenario I feel it will be 1-2 clients, maybe 3 with some luck. But I am not sure if I am being be cautious and hence would like another view .

With a six month sales cycle, 2-4 in the first 12 months is realistic, with a run rate of 7-12 year two.

What kind of conversion rate are you assuming? New Co is at about 30% from proposal to win. If I take the same % that would mean about 12-14 proposals in the first year which would mean about 30-50 raw prospects. Is that how you would see it too?

That would be a really REALLY strong conversion rate. In my experience, 8-15% is more realistic.
