I think Linkedin works as part of a sequence... and it's not a one and done - e.g. Linkedin request w message, call, email, Linkedin follow up, call etc. you can't rely on one Linkedin message to work for you... I also add 'social touch' into cadences, if someone accepts your invite but doesn't reply to your message then set aside time to look at what they are interacting with, like any of their posts of comments, small social nudge!

I think the main part is how to successfully add to the cadence. Most I know use more successfully by using those kinds of touch points outside of the cadence, not as an automated step.

Yes you're correct - use those steps in your cadence as a reminder to jump into Linkedin and do the work. Good combo of LI Sales Nav and Salesloft to follow those people and be constantly touching them via LI

Modern prospecting has to be multi-channel. If you're not using calls, emails, LI requests (I very much dislike inmail) then you aren't giving yourself enough shots at getting through to them.ย

Agreed, I think my phrasing may have been off. Just as my response to Trainer above I am finding most doing those steps outside of a cadence sequence. Meaning that part is more manual and targeted to tier A prospect lists rather than just adding to an automated sequence.

Not everytime, but often.

If you are going to do it, focus on higher value targets and make sure your message is clear and concise to them - often my best replies came when I used video as well

This seems to be the results I find as well. I wish there was a better way to automate some of it for tiered clients. But I have yet to find a good way to make the LI step fit across the board as an automated step.

Outreach and SalesLoft both have templates for it I think? At least for the requests that go out. Guess you could create some sort of note and then have it be a copy paste thing for your reps? Manual is not ideal, but could be a thing.

Iโ€™m sure it can work but i mostly leave LinkedIn messaging out of my cadences

Yeah that is also how I end up working mostly. Haven't found a good way to embed it into a cadence yet.
