Anybody ever tried a mental coach?

curious if anybody has ever tried mental coaching to help build a better mental game in sales. high highs and low lows are typical in sales and I've typically been able to keep myself at a 6-7 but lately it's been tough.

feel myself slipping with burnout lately- but quotas don't go anywhere and neither do bills. vacations are good but feel like they can be more of a bandaid than a solution. open to suggestions, but I've heard mental coaching can help with strategies for the long term to avoid burnout but also maintain high performance.

I'm in Canada FYI so any online/ local solutions are helpful.

Either one of these seem to be what's needed.

We could all use a mental tune-up from time to time.

You need outlets outside your vocation. What do you enjoy? Personally I’m into endurance sports and I pursue those when I’m not in my home office. And the competitions give me something to focus on other than quotas.

I'd recommend getting better leadership :)

That's what they are there for IMO.

Super interested in if you do this and the progress from it. Haven't really thought of doing it but I am interested.

I'm recommend a performance coach, or a therapist.

For me, finding venues outside of sales to be able to compete in helps.
I also am adamant about taking time off to fully unplug and recharge.

Check out Jeff Riseley on linkedin - speaks a lot about prioritizing mental health when in a sales role

Look up Chris Dorris - he's got a few books. I would read a few mental strength books to see how it works before going full in on a coach. There's lots of free content out there.

A solid business coach starts there. Mindset is responsible for about 80% of our success and that has been true forever. First research dating back to the very early 1900's

A therapist maybe, sounds like a good one.
Myself I prefer a long time being left alone by myself on a vacation, before getting to that pressure again and it works with me just fine.
If the therapist idea didn't work, advise you trying different destinations to visit or more fun activities to make!
