Anyone here in the MDR (Managed Detection & Response) Industry?

I'm currently interviewing for a job an MDR vendor. This is a SaaS and services company in the cybersecurity space.

On paper signs point to growth as most companies need a strong cybersecurity backbone. Any advice, pitfalls, surprises for this industry?

Round 3 out of 4 interviews and I have to create a territory plan for the first year. Seems a bit more in depth than a 30/60/90.

I know a few of the players in the market. Mind sharing?

Also, what's your territory?

They gave me a territory that wouldn't be mine as this is just an exercise to see my go to market methodology. It's between Artic Wolf, Red Canary, and Rapid 7.

But what's your territory if you get the gig?

All three of them are legit players but have different approaches (people vs tech) and appeal to different segments.

I'd def check out magic quadrants and other analysts reports.

Yes, cyber is needed but that’s like saying IT is needed.

I think you’ll be well off showing your understanding MDR is a piece of the puzzle, and how important it is in the remote working world

Good luck!

They aren't really concerned about my understanding about the actual product as it's something they would need to teach me about. I'm in the IoT device monitoring space now so I'm leaning on the fact that those types of devices are vulnerable if they aren't managed properly.
