I don't think he intended to buy TWTR. I think he was just trying to make a statement and put them on blast, but got caught up in the drama of it and crossed the point of no return, realized he couldn't back out, so said "Fuck it" and went though with it.

I think he was caught in an echo chamber that made it seem like what he thought was wrong with twitter was the actual issue. I think he also thought it wasn’t trying to make money and was too focused on “woke” whatever that means. I love twitter for being dialed into like 6 specific interests I have and current events and I think he thought it should be a place where he and his friends who all have the same ideas should be beloved instead of mocked.

Friendster. There’s supposed to be some site by the founder of Waze that’s getting a lot of attention, but it’s in beta. So who knows. Mastodon seems like a little confusing.

Elon got caught pulling one of his stock manipulation shenanigans except for this time... his ass had to float the money to buy it. Now he's coming in with a "my way or the highway" approach and key pieces of that org are leaving. Will Twitter still be around... I think so. Will it have the same adoption success... my guess is no.
Yes, possibly the social network is dying. Just because you know something doesn't mean you know everything, he's good at technology companies, but companies like social networks? I don't think this looks good

I think it started as a joke that took on a life of its own. Elon realized he couldn't back out, and since he could afford to go all the way, he did.
When you're famous you should be careful what you say, in my country we have a saying "the tongue is the scourge of the ass"
Lawyers got involved and twitter realized they were screwed and sort of had no choice but to sell based on the corruption that would have come out if they didnt
