Beach day with your coworkers?

I'm curious to hear from you all since I just got back from a beach day with a few coworkers. And no, it was not like a Michael Scott "try to figure out who will be the next branch manager beach day".

This was just an idea a few of us had, since our SKO was virtual. It was NOT a company sanctioned event.

We all are mostly remote in the same region across florida but for the President's day weekend we decided to get together.

I like who I work with and we all had a pretty nice time since the weather is in the 70's and we had drinks and some games. And just about everybody came today from our team.

Do you all work with people who you would hang out with outside of work? Even a beach day?

Would you go on a beach day with your coworkers?

Hell yeah! We know how to party! Yeah I guess Nope, you would have to pay me to hangout with them! Ew, I hate the beach. The sand is rough, coarse, and gets everywhere!

I'll pass as I just don't see myself enjoying time with people I work with at a beach. I could barely stand being at a holiday party with them... I would just end up burying myself or walking to the opposite side of the beach and being in Florida, that is a long walk.

I had a great time at a dinner we enjoyed during SKO with a handful of colleagues. We had a lot of laughs. Would definitely go to a beach with them!

Why not, we had an off-site gathering April last year in a beach resort, it was a blast :) i don’t hang out a lot with colleagues outside work ever since we got twins, so events like these are always welcome :)
