Calling out the bull: LinkedIn top 50 startups

to all the new sales fam who are now with us on Bravado, I just saw the yearly(?) LinkedIn top 50 startups list was just posted. 

to be abundantly clear: those companies pay for their spot!

If you have any doubts, seamless.ai is #10. Just search about them in Bravado. they are shit. 
And like 3 years ago Better.com was #1 on this list and then they fired like 40% of the company in a mass Zoom call a year later.

I know it’s rough out there but don’t apply to these places unless you know what you’re getting into.

Really, what does a top 50 startup even mean? Like #48 is going to be a wildly better place to work than #68. Didn't see it. Don't care. You wanna go work for an early stage company, cool with me. I love'em. Just be well aware of the bet you're making.

Those 50 best places to work lists are often bunk as well. I was at one that made the list once and it was toxic as hell.

These lists are just another marketing tool, but they also scratch the ego of their founders/CEO who are obsessed with their companies being recognized for accomplishing nothing.
