Closing/ hitting quota in Q4?

Last Q4 with my team, every deal that wasn't closed before Thanksgiving (US) was pushed to Q1 or later.


My CEO still says Q4 is historically our busiest quarter for closing deals.


I'm already 80% on my way to quota, but I'm getting nervous. I need to close another big tuna, dammit.


Anyone else?

Quota is highest in Q4 for us, and it's tooooo quiet.

Long sales cycle for me, many things pushed to Q2, so can't be pulled in early. Also have one major account in the throes of a very disruptive executive realignment, so who knows what will come of that. It's an interesting time.

In my experience, you almost never get all the right people in the room at the same time in December.

As soon as your champion can meet with the decision maker, the dev goes out of town for the week. Now the dev is back, but your champion is flying home. It's a mess.

The real gut punch is when the Q1 deals get pushed back because they pushed EVERYTHING to happen after the holidays.

Our fiscal year runs July 1-June 30, so this is our FQ2 and it's traditionally a very busy quarter. We had a great October, but November is brutal. The quarter is going to rely on a big December. Wish me luck!
