You gotta know that for deals like that they are employing former Generals, Department Chairs, people who held high level gov't positions. They are hired for a specific deal and compensated VERY well for winning.
One of the DoD companies I worked for had a Business Dev Director position open and I spoke to the division president about it. I asked what type of person they are looking for and he told me "a former 2-3 start general or someone who held a high level civilian position at the Pentagon". I knew I wasn't qualified at that point.

Having worked for a couple DoD contractors, they cap it off fast. And usually there isn’t even a commish. You get a pay on the back for a job well done. Doesn’t mean they don’t get paid, just not like in a SaaS deal.

Honestly for government it probably helps prevent some issues like kickbacks, or other concerns so someone isn’t abusing the system.

Keep in mind if they are a point man for a defense contractor doing DOD work I’m sure they are doing just fine when it comes to pay.

Their bills are covered lol.

nooo way !! thats hella sad. Would you think 0.05% commission or naw? That would be 125 million dollars - I would flip if I closed a quarter trillion and got a good job

Yea an account like that, that size, is all hands on deck. CEO is leading that and it wouldn't shock me if they shorted the AE. You're not gettign 25 billion in commissions
