Congrats, you are still in the running for the job, but we want to finish interviewing others too. IE: Get FD'd

Seriously.

Get a yes. Get a No. But a maybe..... GTFOH, am I right?

I got told I was still in the running for a role but they are still wanting to finish interviewing others. I reached out to call and speak one on one.... no one got back to me.

I guess thank god I do sales and have dealt with worse BS, but it's easy to see the nonsense people go through with getting a job these days.

They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
Ambiguity is the hardest part of a job search. "We like you enough to date you, but not really ready to settle down just yet". They know you can do the job, but either you didn't close them well enough or they just think they might be able to do better.

I feel like I have got this response and still got the offer, if you want an answer from them soon. Give them some urgency, say you just received an offer and need to hear back. This either shows they are interested or gives you the no earlier so you can move on

Amen to the maybe thing. To me that translates like: Yeah, we'd like to hire you if we don't find someone we like better. Blows.

Yeah this shit sucks. Itโ€™s a pretty clear sign that they donโ€™t LOVE you and they are just trying to find a PERFECT person. Which doesnโ€™t exist

Pretty simple, treat em the same way you were treated.
Whenever they'll let you know that you are accepted, tell em OK I'll let you know my feedback once done with interviewing with other companies first to see which offer suits me the most. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yeah, I was figuring I will send something like that this week.

Did you actually have an offer, or did you just send that message to verify their intent and interest?

This is one those things that's either lost or it isn't. Either way, sitting around and being passive won't get anywhere.

No I actually had no offer but i sent that message to make them think I'm busy and they better make the decision and yes as you said it's either lost or it isnt but if they're really intressted in you they would tell you from the beginning they're just looking for a better candidate (so if you send the message they may be like oh alright we didn't find any other candidate and this one got an offer ) I hope it works for you
Good luck ๐Ÿค—
