This is what got me over my cold call anxiety. They picked up the phone, to an unknown caller no less. If theyโre not interested in your offering thatโs cool, but they literally gave you permission to speak by picking up.

Truthfully, I feel quite uncomfortable about it. However, it seems like in zoominfo those are the only numbers people have and no direct numbers seem to work because of remote work. It seems to be the only thing that works from a calling POV.

@Kosta_Konfucius has it right. If youโre cold calling cell phones, its always a risk but as long as youโre quick to apologize for the inconvenience, itโs never been an issue in my experience.
If someone picks up they want to talk. Iโd treat each call the same until they tell you otherwise. If theyโre really pissed, just offer to call back in a week. EZPZ
Itโs simple, if they tell you they are on a vacay, show empathy but ask when can you connect back. I generally donโt call the cell.
I mean they COULD always be on vacation, definitely a little messed up if you know they are on vacation, but if it an honest mistake, never had an issue after apologizing
all is fair in love and Revenue, if their on Vacay when you catch them then lean into it and make some sort of joke. "You're in Aruba, no way I'm here too, making cold calls I'll see you at Senor Frogs later tonight."

How would you know people are on vacation? Plus if they pick up it is on them.
