Does working out make a difference for your performance?

I personally notice a massive difference in my mood and performance when I'm working out every day. I've been on and off, recently been doing good though.

Do you all work out?

And for top performers, do you even have time to work out?

I find exercise is an important part of maintaining mental health and regulating mood.

As for scheduling, I will sometimes go for a walk during the day if schedule is light. Otherwise I like to go to the gym after I put my kids to bed.

I go for a run when I can. Clears the cobwebs outta my head.

Absolutely. I hit the gym on my lunch break and it lets me get out enough frustration that I'm not quite as murder-y in the afternoon.

Dunno how you find time to break the day to work out. It would choke my momentum. I’m a night rider. But yeah, keeps me sane.

I'd be lying if I said I went every day, but try to squeeze it into my lunch hour and then just eat at my desk during a "this could have been an email" meeting.

For me it’s a yes. Mainly because my day is more structured and I feel more energised and disciplined

Absolutely - especially first thing. Sets the tone for the day, wakes you up, and makes sure you actually do it.
I'm like a golden retriever - I need to get my energy out.

Beyond mental health it is important to workout too. If you don't respect your body, your customer surely won't respect you either. Last thing you want is to be an overweight salesman.

This is the classic catch-22. No time to work out but working out makes me more productive.

I keep weights in my office and do 5-10 mins at a time, especially if I have writers block or I’m stuck on something. Works like a charm.

I don’t typically get too sweaty after 10 mins, so not gonna affect getting on a call.

Anything to keep in slightly better shape and get some sweat out. I also find taking a week off from drinking helps a lot too

Daily! Either rock climbing or swimming. It has to be something fun for me, lifting weights or running gets really boring. I also sleep better, work drains mentally, working out drains physically so I am out within 10 minutes of laying down.

2 - 3 pm everyday. Unless something vital comes up, then I go after the kiddos are asleep.

I have such a brain fog at that time of day I am unproductive anyway.

Working out - moving around - doing something physically (ahem!) always helps boost that dopamine that we lack. SO YES. GO GET THEM ABS.

Anybody have a way to become a morning gym person? Lol it's starting to get crazy in the post-work rush again for me.
I'm naturally a night owl so the idea of getting up at 6 to go to the gym hurts my soul.

I workout at 5PM everyday. It allows me to log off & clear my head. On the days I don't want to go, I especially need it & feel so much better after. If you work from home, I heard that a lunch workout helps your performance! I used to run 2 miles in the morning and I could tell that my productivity was higher too.

I find a routine helps with just about every aspect of your life, block off what you’re doing hour by hour for the 15-16 hours you’re awake and make that routine your bitch and after like a month it’ll
Be automatech. When folks say obsess over the process that’s what they’re talking about. You’ll always have the time and won’t be frenzied
