Pay difference with peers

we recently got our new Comp plans and a lot of our quotas where higher than forecasted. this lead to me connecting with the other reps on our team comparing the plans. I then saw I was getting paid about 6k more in base/12k in OTE then everyone else. I never showed what my base/ote was to everyone just my quota which was the highest.

I do want to help everyone by saying this is my base so use it to negotiate but I assume it would be obvious to my manager and director.

or do I keep this info to myself and just assume it's fair since I have the higher quota/negotiated better

Sounds like you negotiated better. 🤷‍♀️

That’s for sure what happened, but it’s like if roles would be reversed I would like to know if I am making less than the other person to help negotiate in the future

Keep it to yourself. Personally, I don't talk about my base with coworkers unless they ask. I don't hide it I just prefer not to stir the pot.

Now, since your quota is higher, you get paid more. Simple as that. Sounds fair to me.

If anyone thinks its BS that you're getting paid more they might sing a different tune if it meant a higher quota depending on how strict your leadership is.

I'd just keep this to yourself and be happy you're in a good position. Could bite you in the ass.
