I just received 2 official offers, wildly fast. The base money is about the same: 65k They are both at start ups.
Here is where it gets different:
Company A: Series B start up, just raised 21M
Role SDR, and close small deals
Variable 10k Capped, they are vague about this
Experienced leaders who have built and sold a startup for 100Mil+
Solid product, huge potential money to be made
Company B
Pre-Seed funding, no stats public,
Role AE
Variable Uncapped, 10%-20% of deals, acv I was told is in the thousands
Newer leaders,
My take, company A is better, but it is not a step up role wise. Company B gets me AE experience, but less stable company, and less chance it takes off.
Should I be a an SDR at a better company? OR an AE at a newer company, with less structure or guidence, but uncapped comms and full closing experience?
Also I have been getting a steady stream of recruiter emails, just one from a big name HRMS company. AE 80k base. SO...this shit is wild. If you aren't looking now start taking calls if you are at all considering a move.
