Heavy Email focused prospecting?

Hey all!
I currently handle Top of Funnel prospecting to enterprise companies (1B revenue) and our main ICP is usually IT or Ecom and it seems my org has a huge push for sending more personalized outreach via email rather then cold calls.

since I'm relatively new at this place (experienced BDR from other big tech companies) where I usually focused on cold calls... I am wondering if this is a good GTM approach ? my current org is new in the Ent space.

have people had success booking meetings to these more technical ICP via Email vs cold calls?

Use all mediums! Calls, email, linkedin, videos, and mailers. You dont know how the prospect likes to communicate until they respond

Oh I totally agree there and I am still doing omni channel outreach but my concern was the heavy emphasis on emails vs calls aha

It's easier to blast a bunch of emails vs cold calls. It's just numbers - your outreach is bound to be greater via emails. They're looking at awareness campaigns and staying top of mind in a broader sense.

That said, absolutely mix it up.

People do prefer emails. That's true. I'd still follow up with calls, snail mail, or stopping by if you are local.

Going all in on 1 medium is never a good strategy

Think of your prospects as being color blind, and sending only email as being either green or red. Odds are even though you have the perfect message, at the right time, they just won't see it.

Mailers are black.
LinkedIn is purple.

Email is easily deleted or filtered.

Don’t know why you don’t call, then email, then call again.

Answer D: All of the above. Sure, you can lead with email, but nobody internally will object to you following up with a call or a handwritten note.

IMO if you have a leader telling you to do email only (or pushing that as preferred) it is because they are afraid of cold calling. I would do a mixture of both. Send a personalized email, if they open and engage, give em a call

Yeah I’ve been doing exactly that! I don’t feel email only focus is enough but I thought it was normal due to the ICP / persona I target

Well, cold calling is as essential as Emails, the sit your company has is a bit odd to me tbh, better speak up if you found that's your struggling with your quota cuz of that policy and see how things go!
To me, it gotta be at least 50/50 or 40/60 Emails to CC.

Got to multi thread. I’ve had more luck with emails though in the end. Depending on who you prospect to

I would start by calling every single project Manager. Guaranteed there's a few that got corralled into the PM side of things from IT, but are still very much IT.

Ouh now this a approach I didn’t think of… so call the PMs and see if they’re working on any projects with IT and get a warm intro or more directly pitch to the PM?
