Employment Agreement Mistakes

Just wondering how common it is to require revisions to Employment Agreements based on missing or incorrect information.


Anyone ever get frustrated by this, especially after a lengthy interview process?

Are most Employment Agreements you’ve come across, error-free?

I have only had one revision needed ever and it was after a company downsizing.

Myself, my manager and like 4 others were all that was left of the sales org and they lowered our bases instead of laying us off.

When I went to sign the paperwork I noticed it had someone else’s name on it who had already signed before me.

I lol’d, and signed the doc anyways.
Also they didn’t notice I had 3 weeks of PTO coming up, so I bounced out that following week, interviewed a few days out of my vacation, and came back and got termd.

I told hr the docs they had me signed were probably void and they were gonna have to pay me my original salary.

They unfortunately did not honor my original salary upon severance, but they also owned me like 12k in commish so I wasn’t too sour.

they usually use a template which was screened by a legal dept and an executive, not including everyone they used it on previously. Usually there are very few, if any, errors unless it's specific to you.

Well,I keep no room for this to happen,as I review my contract 10 times before the signature and around 20 times after being signed to make sure it has no flaws by any means-(and so as everybody should I believe).
if it has any missing or incorrect information or even any typos I would apologize and wouldn't proceed with the hiring process till it's being fully fixed immediately,if they still require my services based upon what's been agreed on!
