Ever work in a place where folks don't match your urgency? The start up life

I love working for my start up, I really doGreat people, culture. Genuine. Caring. BUT......alot of the people are on 4 day work weeks, including our CEO. And my team has deals to close. No urgency at all. 4 day work week, two hour blocks for Yoga and lunch. I get it!! Love work life balance, but just approve the damn pricing!!

Also, while templatized, my reps have to do their own contracts. PITA

Sounds like they're not serious about the business.
Did they get funding from friends and family?

Been there done that. Itโ€™s kinda typical for startups but your company seems to be particularly lax.

This doesn't sound like any start up I've been at...
If they were established and I knew I'd make money, I wouldn't really mind.

I'm basically saying to the executive team, "do you want 300k in arr or not." Just say yes.

That doesn't sound like a start up at all. Sounds like one that is going to ultimately fail, sadly.

Yeah... I think you almost have to hustle more internally to get things done. Like create urgency and following and following up and constant feedback.

That is why I hate and love it. If I need time, I can take it. When I am in a crunch to respond and close, there is at least a 12 hour delay in people getting back to me.

YES ! It is annoying. Everyone is laid back and you are in a rush. You end up doing their work, or pushing them to do better.

Prospects are waiting on us......how do you like that?

Last year, they froze hiring for the implementation team because they didn't have enough business, now they're short.

Yeah right now. We are struggling as a whole and I'm the only one putting in extra hours. In the BS slack channel I see everyone going out for drinks as if we just raised a fat round. It sucks. Looking for something else.

Is there a good place to start selling ? I have personality but have no clue how to sell. Iโ€™d like to change careers, yet I just had a baby boy. Iโ€™m the provider making about 68k a year and feel like I canโ€™t go below that without a struggle.
