Getting back into startup world

Have worked for two startups, led sales for both as BDR and VP of sales, jumped back and forth between start up and corporate. Corporate opportunities were startup type roles building out divisions or new regions (hiring sales team, running P&L, etc.). Helped commercialize both.

Want to get back into startup world. My past connections are getting me new meetings however most either aren't enticing opportunities, hiring freezes, or filled teams. Have convinced two to create roles for me.

Would love some ideas to get back into the excitement of the start up world. Miss the feeling. Love building something from scratch. Any advice?

I dunno man. If I had your creds I’d be in tall cotton. Either way, I get the startup thing. LinkedIn’s mobile app has a new filter that allows you to look at recently funded and series A companies.

What do you love about building? What feeling is it that you get? If you lead with this to the companies you wan to get into via email/call I think you’d be surprised at the amount that are willing to hear you out. Saying you love building and love the feeling is what these people hear everyday, differentiate yourself
