Sorry I was lazy in my post. What I meant to say is how often are they actually enforced / how often are people getting sued by their former employer for heading to the competition? I think for senior level Roles it’s probably more enforced Than say SDR or AEs leaving
Tough part is, even if there is an argument against them. It would be tough to beat a major corp if they decided to confront you about it. I got asked to sign one when I got laid off and I had to sign to receive the severance. I decided not to sign. Even if I had a leg to stand on legally I have no idea how they would of texted, especially since I went to a competitor
Where are you located? I've seen some gifted lawyers meander their way around them. All depends on the verbiage found in the NCA.

Really depends on the situation, if you leave to a competitor and take billing info and use it poach then yes they are real. 99% that are not enforceable to a IC

Very enforceable in my world. Had two situations where we tried to hire and the individuals’ were threatened with litigation. Different then tech in regards to trade secrets, pricing mechanisms, etc.
